If my standard rates feel out of reach, I have dedicated options for you!
Are you the same as a midwife?
A birthkeeper or doula is a non-medical professional (although some do hold medical qualifications). I do not perform clinical tasks such as: checking blood pressure or monitoring the baby’s heartbeat etc. For medical support you will also need a midwife (NHS or private). I offer support as your emotional anchor, providing the continuous presence and advocacy that the medical system often cannot offer.
If I have a supportive partner, why should we hire a Birthkeeper?
I am not there to replace your partner, but to support both of you. Birth can be overwhelming for partners who are emotionally invested and may not know how to help during intense moments. I provide guidance so your partner feels confident and involved - suggesting comforting techniques they can use, ensuring they are fed and rested, and keeping them calm so they can focus entirely on you. Most partners find that having a birthkeeper allows them to be more present and less stressed.
I can't afford doula support, it seems like a luxury?
Think of the cost as an investment. Doula support is a foundational service for your long-term physical and mental wellbeing.
Unlike a brand new pram or a wedding, the impact of your birth experience lasts a lifetime. Research shows that continuous support significantly improves outcomes, leading to lower rates of medical intervention and a reduced risk of postpartum depression and more!
Ultimately, a doula is an investment in your wellbeing and transition into parenthood. You only get to birth your baby once.
"Rosanna completely changed how I felt about birth. I was so anxious but she helped me feel confident, and deeply connected to my body. Our antenatal meetings were nurturing, practical, and empowering for me and my partner. During early labour and on into my long birth her support was simply incredible."

"I was a bit unsure about the Mother Wrapping ritual when Rosanna suggested it but it was profoundly moving. It helped me release what I was still carrying and gently come back home to myself. I felt honoured, grounded, and deeply restored afterward. It helped me balance my emotions and feel more capable. Every woman deserves to experience feeling so held when they become a mum."
-ELLIE
"The postpartum support I received was above and beyond. Totally transformational really. I felt seen and cared for and I could finally rest. I also felt respected and I wish I had found Rosanna sooner - she is so loving and kind. Her support with gentle bottle feeding truly helped. She made sure I was nourished and listened to. I can't thank her enough."
